The King of the Trampoline

It was an ordinary summer afternoon. Milan was sitting in the garden, his bike lying in the grass beside him. He was just wondering what to do when the screech of brakes was heard from the gate.

Zente arrived on his bike, speeding in and leaving a cloud of dust behind. "Milan, come ride bikes! Let's race on the street!" he shouted enthusiastically.

But Milan just shook his head. "I don't feel like biking now, it's hot, I'd rather go on the trampoline."

Zente got off his bike with a pout. "It's always the trampoline! You never want to ride bikes!" he said, but he was already glancing at the trampoline.

"Then let's have a trampoline championship!" Milan suggested. "Who can jump higher, or who can hop on one leg the longest?"

Zente looked grumpy for a moment, but then he smiled. "Okay, but I go first!"

The two boys climbed onto the trampoline and the competition began. They jumped, did somersaults, and tried to outdo each other.

Next to the trampoline, Kende and Zalán watched the big kids in awe. "I want to jump too!" Zalán said, already grabbing the edge of the trampoline. Kende followed, but before they could climb up, Borka and Zita quickly intervened.

"Now the big kids are jumping, you two go to the sandbox!" Borka said kindly but firmly.

"Yes, the slide is free too, you can race to see who gets down faster!" Zita added, and the next moment she was already waving from the top of the slide, then slid down with a huge squeal to show how to really enjoy sliding.

Zalán and Kende followed, laughing, and soon all three were racing on the slide to see who could make the funniest sound while sliding down.

Meanwhile, the trampoline championship continued: "Who can hop on one leg the longest?" Zente asked. "Or who can land in the funniest pose?" Milan laughed.

Meanwhile, Gergő and Tibi headed to the nearby sports field to play squash. "Boys, we're off to do some sports, behave while we're gone!" Gergő called back as Tibi carried the sports bag. "And don't forget to drink, it's hot!" Tibi added before they left through the gate.

The garden became the kids' domain. Milan and Zente tried ever bolder tricks on the trampoline, while Zalán and Kende built a huge castle in the sandbox, which they then tried to demolish with balls thrown from the slide.

On the trampoline, Zente finally landed in the center with a huge jump, but lost his balance and plopped down on his bottom. Milan tried to copy him, but he landed on the edge of the trampoline and rolled into the grass.

Then Zalán shouted from the top of the slide: "I'm the jumpy-bumpy king!" and threw a teddy bear onto the trampoline, which landed right on Milan's head.

Everyone burst out laughing, even Zita, who was sitting at the bottom of the slide. By the end of the day, everyone agreed: Zalán's teddy bear won the trampoline championship, because it landed the softest.
